EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYMENT
As a condition of your employment, you are expected to read and comply with Glunt Industries Equal Employment Opportunity Policy. As an equal opportunity employer, we are firmly committed to providing equal opportunity in all aspects of employment including, but not limited to, hiring, training, promotion, discipline, compensation, benefits, and termination of employment.
In order to provide such equal employment and advancement opportunities to all individuals, employment decisions at Glunt Industries are based on merit, qualifications and abilities. Glunt Industries does not unlawfully discriminate in employment opportunities or practices on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, citizenship, age, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information or any other characteristic protected by local, state, or federal law, including Title VII, and will not tolerate any discrimination or harassment of any kind.
Glunt Industries provides reasonable accommodations to any individual with a disability, to the extent required by law and for religious practices and beliefs, unless undue hardship on the company would result. An applicant or employee who requires accommodation to perform the essential functions of the job should contact Human Resources.
Harassment and Discrimination Policies
Glunt Industries complies with equal employment opportunity laws and therefore prohibits discrimination based upon personal characteristics protected under federal, state and local laws. Harassment of any sort – verbal, physical or visual – is a form of discrimination and, therefore, strictly prohibited. Unlawful harassment also includes sexual harassment, examples of which may include unwelcome and unsolicited sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal, nonverbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature. Conduct that may not meet legal definitions of discrimination or harassment may still be deemed offensive and/or inappropriate and is strictly prohibited by Glunt Industries.
Employees, consultants, contractors and all other individuals employed by or associated with Glunt Industries are responsible for maintaining a workplace free of all prohibited harassment and/or discrimination.
Complaint Process
Any individual is encouraged to submit a complaint regarding incidents experienced personally or observed in the workplace. All employees share the responsibility of bringing complaints to Glunt Industries’ attention so that the company can promptly address them. An employee who is subjected to any conduct that they believe violates this policy or witnesses any such conduct must promptly speak to, write or otherwise contact their direct supervisor, or if the conduct involves their direct supervisor, Human Resources, ideally within 24 hours of the offending conduct. If the employee has not received a satisfactory response within three (3) days after reporting any incident of what they perceive to be harassment, please immediately contact the Glunt Industries Hotline (234) 806-4400.
The employee’s complaint should be as detailed as possible, including the names of all individuals involved and any witnesses. Glunt Industries will promptly, fairly, and thoroughly investigate the facts and circumstances of all good-faith claims of harassment, discrimination, and/or retaliation and will take prompt corrective action, if appropriate.
No one will be subject to any form of discipline, reprisal, intimidation or retaliation against any individual who initiates a complaint or participates in the investigation of a complaint.
Any individual found to have violated these policies will be subject to appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. All reports of harassment or discrimination will be treated seriously and confidentially, to the extent possible.
For more information about your rights under federal equal employment opportunity laws or to file a complaint, you may contact the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) at www.eeoc.gov.
Responsibilities of Managers and Supervisors
Glunt Industries is committed to ensuring that compliance with this policy is an integral part of the responsibilities of all managers and supervisors. All managers and supervisors who become aware of a possible violation of this policy, or receive a report of discrimination or retaliation, must report it to Human Resources immediately so that an investigation can be made and corrective action taken, if appropriate. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
Accordingly, adherence to this policy will be a formal component of performance appraisals for all managerial and supervisory positions. Managers and supervisors will be evaluated on their effectiveness in upholding these standards, and failure to comply may impact their performance ratings and continued eligibility for advancement within the company.
This policy is provided to all employees of Glunt Industries. Any time this policy is modified, Glunt Industries will promptly disseminate the updated policy to all employees to ensure continued awareness and compliance.
